We believe in the power of physical exercise to improve mental health and well-being. That's why we're excited to offer free group walking and running sessions.

 

The sessions are designed to be accessible and welcoming to walkers and runners of all levels, with a focus on creating a supportive community where you can feel comfortable and safe.

 

By joining our exercise community, you will have access to individualised attention and support, the chance to meet and connect with others who are going through similar struggles and the many benefits of exercise for mental health.

Are you struggling with mental health issues and looking for a supportive community to help you feel stronger, both physically and mentally?

 

We're excited to offer free group walking and running sessions led by Iron Man participant and Talens Health Support Services own Tomas Alenskas. The sessions are open to anyone who is looking for a welcoming and safe space to exercise and improve their mental health.

 

Our group sessions are limited to eight participants per session, so you can be sure that you'll get individualised attention and support. And don't worry if you're not already a seasoned runner or walker – we welcome everyone, no matter your fitness level!

 

By joining our group sessions, you will have access to the many benefits of exercise, including improved mood, reduced stress and anxiety, better sleep and increased self-esteem. You will also have the chance to meet and connect with others who are experiencing similar struggles, forming meaningful relationships and building a strong support system.

The Power of Running for Mental Health

At Talens Health Support Services, we believe in the many benefits of exercise for mental health. Running, in particular, has been shown to be a powerful tool for reducing symptoms of anxiety, depression and other mental health conditions.

But you don't have to be a seasoned runner or marathoner to experience these benefits. In fact, our group running sessions are designed to be accessible and welcoming to runners of all levels, from beginners to the more experienced. We run at an easy pace and prioritise creating a supportive, non-judgmental atmosphere.

 

When you join our group running sessions, you'll get the chance to experience the many benefits of running firsthand. You'll release endorphins, natural mood lifters that can help reduce symptoms of stress and anxiety. You'll also improve your cardiovascular health, increase your energy levels and build muscle tone.

But the benefits of running go beyond just physical health. Running has been shown to improve cognitive function, boost self-esteem and confidence, and create feelings of accomplishment and empowerment. Likewise, participating in group exercise has been shown to offer a range of benefits for mental health, including reducing symptoms of anxiety and depression, boosting mood and cognitive function and providing a sense of community and support.

 

If you're hesitant about joining a group running session, don't worry – you don't have to come in as a seasoned runner. While you should have some running experience, we welcome runners of all levels and will work with you to develop a plan that feels safe, supportive and effective for you.

If you're not quite ready to join a group run we also offer free group walking sessions that can help you ease into physical activity without feeling overwhelmed. Whatever your fitness level or mental health needs, Talens Health Support Services is here to support you on your journey towards better health and well-being.
